Hello America! I'm still in Sweden. Here is what I have learned from this country.
The quality of life here is the focal point. I can't say that for America. It's sad really. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love my country and the freedom we have, but I don't know that I would pick what I have in America over this. Yes, its a Socialist country. So? Democracy is great and all but honestly (Papa, please don't read this next sentence!) I don't vote and could really care less about politics. It's just not my thing. I don't keep up with current events. I don't watch the news. I don't read the paper. That is just not important to me. I just want to live my life and raise my family and spread some love. Wow, I guess I am a hippie or something.
I have always wanted to live in Colorado or on an island. David won't go for either of those. Now, I want to move my family to Sweden. I won't even bring that up with David because I know the answer. But this country really is that beautiful and that amazing.
You just put into words exactly my attitude. There is just so much negativity out there, and quite frankly- I don't care to hear about it. I'm happy with life inside my little bubble world. Ha.
ReplyDeleteI'm so turned off my politics too! I think it's because my parents are so obsessed with them. I don't vote and some of my friends have tried to register me to vote but can't because I won't give them my SS#.
ReplyDeleteI'm like, I just want to be happy and not worry about conspiracy theories and who's the "bad" guy this time around.
You are SO not moving to Sweden!! ;)
